Altia’s Next Chapter in Real Estate

A property’s value develops over years of ownership. How it is maintained, managed and adapted matters to the people who live in it and those who invest in it.

That thinking is guiding Altia’s expansion. In The Golden List of Real Estate 2026 by Economy Today, Demetris Tsiakkis, Head of Business Development and Strategy at Altia, discusses the company’s evolution into a diversified real estate services organisation.

Altia is drawing on its experience in property management and sales as it moves into development. Its first mixed use project in Nicosia marks an important step, alongside plans for a coworking space in the city centre.

These investments respond to changing needs across Cyprus, where demand for smaller urban apartments remains strong and businesses are seeking modern, flexible workplaces.

The company is also expanding its property management services. For owners and investors, reliable maintenance, clear oversight of expenses and support for residents help protect a property’s value over time.

Investment in a new website and mobile app forms another part of Altia’s plans. The aim is to make searching for property and accessing information simpler, while improving communication with clients.

Together, these developments support Altia’s ambition to offer coordinated services throughout a property’s life, from acquisition and development to ongoing management.

Tsiakkis also highlights the wider challenges facing the market, including construction costs, approval delays and the need for more affordable homes. Faster processes, urban regeneration and cooperation between the public and private sectors will be important in increasing supply.

As buyers and investors pay closer attention to running costs, practical design and future returns, Altia is developing its services around those priorities, with a focus on creating lasting value.
